HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE and a big thank you to 2012!
A few weeks back, I may have posted about it even I have no idea and am quite honestly too lazy to go back and check, regardless though, a few weeks ago I found my 2012 resolutions. They were simple yet clear and I have achieved every damn one of them! YIPPPIEEEE! I’ve never done that before, but as I close down this great year I can honestly say I am the happiest I have ever been in my entire life.
In addition achieving my own goals though, 2012 brought about an array of unexpected blessings too numerous to count, and that’s a personal thing anyway so I shall not bore you there, however, I will tell you about a remarkable turn of events at “the job” that has renewed by faith in this big audacious goal of mine.
“What would you like to do in 2013,” my boss asked me about a week ago, or 2, I’ve been vacationing at Disneyland with the family so my whole sense of time is off. (WOW, that is a seriously fun place and the people are so nice! My daughter actually asked me how anyone can be that nice all the time!
LOVED IT!)
“I’d like a promotion,” I said boldly, not really even thinking about my answer.
“Agreed,” my jaw is now somewhere on the floor since I have no game, “but what do you want to do…I mean where do you see yourself in five years?”
Stunned and still feeling unusually confident I answered with my big audacious goal without hesitation, “I’d like to be published.”
“Great, so what’s stopping you…I know you’ve written a few books now right?”
Ok, now this was getting strange. I mean, he actually cared about my personal goals? Rather than question it though, I went with the flow.
“Yes. But as I’ve found out, writing them is one thing, selling them either to an agent or publisher is something else entirely. I’m just out of my element.”
A huge Cheshire grin now spread across his face. I’d walked straight into his trap!
“Excellent, I can help with that…that’s actually the direction I need you to take here too,” and so began an amazing, hour long conversation that knitted these two worlds of mine into one path.
Thus starts my journey for 2013. I’m so excited I can’t wait to get back to work and I just can’t believe this is my life and I get to live it. YIPPPPIEEEE!
Sending love to all on the close of this great year, and best wishes for a spectacular new year!
CHEERS!
Cheers to you! And congratulations and good Luck!!
